The food involves many Germanic culinary traditions that deal with lots of meals using various forms of pork. This region is important in producing wine and mineral water. The buildings are built with an old Germany style to them with walls in timber framing and cob with roofing in flat tiles. the clothing may vary from one village to another but the most famous is the one that consists of a huge black bow attached to a bonnet and has a French cockade to one side, a white blouse with puff sleeves, a black bustle, a coloured skirt in deep red, green or blue, an embroidered or lace pinny and a colourful shawl.
